McCree Park

McCree Park is a 10.4 acre park established in 1958 and located within the boundaries of Highland Meadows Neighborhood Association. Amenities include a baseball field, benches, pavilion, picnic tables, playground and tennis courts.

Flag Pole Hill

Flag Pole Hill is a 107.1 acre park, established in 1929, and located 1.5 miles from Highland Meadows. Amenities include playground, picnic tables, trails and a covered pavilion that was built by the Civilian Conversation Corps during the 1930’s as part of the New Deal.

White Rock Lake Park

White Rock Lake Park is a 1,015 acre park located 2 miles from Highland Meadows. White Rock is considered the jewel the Dallas parks system. From boating, biking, kayaking, bird watching, jogging, walking, fishing, and picnicking. White Rock Lake is the largest urban lake in the United States. White Rock Lake Park is twice the size of New York City’s Central Park. White Rock Lake was created in 1910.

B.B. Owen Park

B.B. Owen Park is a 27.1 acre park, established in 1978, and located .10 miles from Highland Meadows. Amenities include frisbee golf, basketball, picnic tables and a playground.

McCree Annex Parks and McCree East

McCree Annex ParkParks and McCree East are located within our neighborhood and are natural buffers for our neighborhood creeks and wildlife. Preserving and protecting these natural areas and habitat within our neighborhood helps to enhance bio diversity and the ecosystem which in turn supports air and water purification, pollination, and climate regulation.
